Inle Lake
Inle is a freshwater lake located in Shan State. It is the second largest lake in Myanmar with an estimated surface area of 116 km squared. Over twenty species of snails and nine species of fish that are found in Inle Lake are found no where else in the world.
70,000 people live on the lake and they are called Intha (people who live on Inle lake). The entire lake is in Nyaung Shwe Township of Shan State. Intha travel around the lake with boats or canoes which are rowed using their legs. The unique rowing style was evolved for the reason that the lake is covered by reeds and floating plants which makes it difficult to see if rowing while sitting down.

Many exciting and amazing events happen during the festival but most famous one is the traditional boat racing, where you will get to see and meet many leg-rowers in traditional Shan garments.
